The beginnings of kale & French fries

Hello there! My name is Lauren and I am Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in Nashville, TN. I am currently working as a clinical dietitian (which I love) but I am also passionate about both cooking and eating good food to fuel my busy life.


My philosophy on food and nutrition is simple: both kale and French fries fit into a healthy diet.


I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Dietetics, I completed by Dietetic Internship at Lipscomb University, and I am currently working on a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Tech University.


My goal in both professional practice and pass-time through sharing recipes is to help people understand and apply nutrition principles to their lives all while keeping it simple.
